President Moon Meets World Economic Forum Leader
President Moon Jae-in met with Executive Chairman Klaus Schwab of the World Economic Forum on April 11 to share his opinions on global issues, including North Korea. President Moon expressed his gratitude that issues concerning the Korean Peninsula were discussed at Davos in January.
Foreign Minister Meets with her Japanese Counterpart
On April 11, Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-wha met with Foreign Minister Taro Kono of Japan, who was on a visit to the Republic of Korea. In their meeting, the two top diplomats substantially discussed matters of mutual concern.

Vice Foreign Minister Lim Sung-nam met with a delegation from the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the European Parliament on April 6, and exchanged views on the ROK-EU relations; North Korea and its nuclear issue; and the situation in Northeast Asia.
ROK Provided US$2.2 billion of ODA in 2017, 15th Largest among DAC Member States
The ROK’s ODA in 2017, the 15th largest among the DAC member states in the year, stood at $2.2 billion, down 1.8% (rate of increase in real terms △6.5%) from the $2.25 billion in the year 2016 (16th largest in 2016).
ROK-Latvia Air Services Agreement Initialed
At the Republic of Korea-Latvia meeting on air services held in Riga, Latvia, on April 5 and 6, the ROK government delegation, comprised of officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, initialed an ROK-Latvia air services agreement.
