Korea, New Zealand to Boost Cooperation in Science & Technology, Defense, Antarctic Research

President Moon Jae-in and New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern on December 4 agreed to bolster cooperation in science and technology, the defense industry and research on Antarctica in their bilateral summit in Auckland.
President Moon Says “North Korean Leader’s Visit to Seoul Depends on Him.”
President Moon Jae-in on Dec. 1 said the possibility remains open for North Korean leader Kim Jong Un to make a reciprocal visit to Seoul this year. He said he and U.S. President Donald Trump shared the common understanding that a reciprocal visit by Kim will serve as positive momentum for denuclearization talks between Pyeongyang and Washington.

Permanent Representative of the ROK to the UN Cho Tae-yul was elected as President of the Executive Board of the UN Development Programme, the UN Population Fund, and the UN Office for Project Services for the 2019 term, and officially took office as President of the Executive Board at its special session on December 6.
