Foreign Minister Visits India, ROK’s Key Partner for its New Southern Policy
Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-wha, together with External Affairs Minister of India Swaraj, held the ninth meeting of the Republic of Korea-Republic of India foreign ministerial joint committee in New Delhi on December 19. In the meeting, the two top diplomats reviewed the progress in the bilateral relations.

Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-wha held a meeting and a luncheon with Foreign Minister of Colombia Carlos Holmes Trujillo on December 17, during which the two top diplomats exchanged views on ways to step up the bilateral relations and their substantive cooperation, ways to work together in addressing global issues.
Outcome of ROK-Russia Meeting of Head Delegates to Six-Party Talks
Special Representative for Korean Peninsula Peace and Security Affairs Lee Do-hoon, together with Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Igor Morgulov, held a meeting in Seoul on December 18 in their capacity as the Republic of Korea and Russian head delegates to the Six-Party Talks. In the meeting, the two senior diplomats shared with each other assessments of the current situation on the Korean Peninsula and discussed possible next steps.
ROK Elected as Member State of UN Commission on International Trade Law
The Republic of Korea was elected to serve on the UN Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) for the 2019-2025 term at the UNCITRAL Member State election held by the UN General Assembly in New York on December 17.
