Telephone Conversation between Foreign Minister and ICRC President

Minister of Foreign Affairs Kang, Kyung-wha had a telephone conversation with President of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Peter Maurer on April 13 at the latter’s request and discussed the progress in the responses of the Republic of Korea and the ICRC to COVID-19 and ways to enhance their cooperation. Minister Kang commended the ICRC for playing a significant role at the forefront of the unprecedented humanitarian crisis, which was caused by the global spread of COVID-19, including by rendering assistance to vulnerable populations.
