ROK-India Dialogue on Disarmament and Non-proliferation Takes Place
Mr. Park Il, Director-General for Nonproliferation and Nuclear Affairs, together with Mr. Indra Mani Pandey, Additional Secretary in charge of Disarmament and International Security Affairs in the Ministry of External Affairs, held a Republic of Korea-India Dialogue on Disarmament and Non-proliferation in the form of video conference between Seoul and New Delhi on August 20. During the Dialogue on Disarmament and Non-proliferation, the two sides discussed various topics, including creating an environment for nuclear disarmament and future arms control regimes; existing multilateral arms control regimes such as the Biological Weapons Convention (BWC) and the Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC); space security; and multilateral export control regimes.

Mr. Chung Kee-yong, Director-General for Climate Change, Energy, Environment and Scientific Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, held the “7th Republic of Korea-United States Energy Security Dialogue” in a virtual format with Mr. Kurt Donnelly, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State at the Bureau of Energy Resources, and Mr. Marc Knapper, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Korea and Japan at the Bureau of East Asian and Pacific Affairs, on August 13.
