Minister of Foreign Affairs Chung Eui-yong met with U.S. Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken in Rome on October 31, on the occasion of the G20 Summit, and exchanged views on issues of mutual interest, including bilateral relations between Korea and the U.S., Korean Peninsula issues, and global issues including COVID-19 response. The two agreed on the importance of stable management of the situation on the Korean Peninsula, and had earnest discussions on ways for the early resumption of the Korean Peninsula Peace Process including the end-of-war declaration.
