29th ARF Ministers’ Meeting

Minister of Foreign Affairs Park Jin attended the 29th ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) Foreign Ministers’ Meeting, which took place in Phnom Penh, Cambodia on Friday, August 5 from 14:00 to 18:00, and discussed with other participants major security issues in the region, such as those concerning the Korean Peninsula, the Taiwan Strait, the South China Sea, Ukraine, and Myanmar.

Vice Foreign Minister Cho＇s Telephone Call with US and EU Chief Negotiators for Iran Nuclear Talks

On Friday, August 19, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Cho Hyundong spoke over the phone with Robert Malley, U.S. Special Envoy for Iran, and Enrique Mora, EU European External Action Service Deputy Secretary General, respectively. In the two phone calls, Vice Minister Cho exchanged views on the current situation in the negotiations for reviving the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and issues related to Iran.
