Ambassadors-Designate to Korea Present Credentials to President
President Yoon Suk Yeol accepted Letters of Credence from six Ambassadors-Designate to the Republic of Korea at the Presidential Office on October 11. The six Ambassadors-Designate are: H.E. Ričardas Šlepavičius from the Republic of Lithuania, H.E. Savitri Indrachapa Panabokke from the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, H.E. Tregar Albons Ishoda from the Republic of Marshall Islands, H.E. Márcia Donner Abreu from the Federative Republic of Brazil, H.E. Guillermo Kirkpatrick de la Vega from the Kingdom of Spain and H.E. Jernej Müller from the Republic of Slovenia.

MOFA Spokesperson’s Statement on Non-extension of Truce in Yemen
The Korean government expresses its disappointment that the United Nations-mediated truce in Yemen expired on October 2 without an extension. The Korean government appreciates the continued efforts of the UN Special Envoy for Yemen Hans Grundberg, as well as countries concerned including Saudi Arabia, to extend the truce, and hopes that the parties will reach an extension to bring about peace in Yemen through negotiations under the auspices of the UN.
