A roundtable to prepare for the “2nd Summit for Democracy” took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on December 20 under the title “Democracy, Anti-Corruption, and Experience of the Republic of Korea.” In his opening remarks, Deputy Foreign Minister for Multilateral and Global Affairs Park Yong Min underscored the commitment of the Korean government to contribute to peace and prosperity of the international community, based on values and norms, such as freedom, human rights, and the rule of law. He also highlighted the importance of partnerships with academia and the civil society for successful hosting of the “2nd Summit for Democracy.”
