Foreign Minister Offers Condolences to Earthquake-Hit China


 With regard to enormous loss of human lives and property incurred in Qinghai province, China, by a massive earthquake on April 14, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade sent a message of consolation in the name of Foreign Minister Yu Myung-hwan to his Chinese counterpart Yang Jiechi on the same day to offer deep sympathy and condolences.

 While keeping an eye on damages, responses by the Chinese government and aid efforts of the international community, the government is preparing to dispatch an emergency rescue team and provide emergency relief supplies in a speedy manner upon the Chinese government’s request.
