Trade Minister Kim Jong-hoon is attending the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting being held in Davos, Switzerland from January 23 to 27 under the theme "the Power of Collaborative Innovation".

Minister Kim is to take part in two sessions, "Climate Change : Is a Truly Global Response Possible?" and "Revitalising Multilateral Trade Talks", as well as a dinner session on "The Challenge of Asian Integration".

Minister Kim will hold bilateral talks with the United States Trade Representative Susan Schwab and the Trade Commissioner Peter Mandelson of the European Union to discuss issues concerning free trade agreements between Korea and the United States and between Korea and the EU respectively. He will also attend a luncheon hosted by the Minister of Trade for Switzerland to discuss how to push forward the Doha Development Agenda with other trade representatives.
