ROK Government Hosts Side Event on DPRK Nuclear Issue during 10th NPT Review Conference

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea hosted a side event on “North Korea: Addressing the Nuclear Challenge” at the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Korea to the United Nations, New York, on August 1 on the margins of the 10th Review Conference of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT).

MOFA Spokesperson’s Commentary on “Defense of Japan 2022”

The Government of the Republic of Korea strongly protests against the Japanese government’s repeated inclusion of unjust sovereignty claims over Dokdo, which is clearly an integral part of the ROK territory in terms of history, geography and international law, in the “Defense of Japan 2022” released on July 22. The ROK government urges the Japanese government to immediately withdraw such claims.
